Congrats to Gms of 6/27/2010
Well everybody we know what tomorrow 6/27/10 is, if you forgot it's the end of the season.
I hope all of us make it to become a GM in TWG S1 and S3.
Well out of my greeting I hope you guys do make it.
To DocSpock I hope that title is allright and if it is, can we maybe try to make it stick?
To Everyone else good luck and do your best.

Yes I hope some healthy competition for the next season..
Wish every one good luck, and may we be the first line of gm's that do not give up after 1 season!

I would assume it to take a few days to get the new GMs appointed. Good luck to everyone and lets do some great shows. There is alot of support here now for everyone so take advantage of it like I will be.

Maybe we just need to wait for the GMLs.
They might be busy with family, work, exc.
Hopfully we can get the results today, so then we
can get fourms,people,VGMs,exc.

Meh. Good luck to the guys on s1. Its alot easier to get accepted than it is to survive as a gm. Recruiting is tough nowadays and booking is a key thing to having a roster survive, so i especially wish gm to the people that are new and just want to get gm to try it..

Recruiting is tough nowadays
Heh everyone needs to make this point known on the other forums ( or here ) so I have more grounds to reduce the number of rosters

Nah the masses just dont want to be in elite wrestling supremacy thats all

Re: Congrats to Gms of 6/27/2010
It just takes time and some persuasion. People make some funny demands when they have no fans or entrances.

Re: Congrats to Gms of 6/27/2010
lol. It's easy to say some of that chinese fortune cookie stuff. I'm easily recruiting, it's nothing for me. But some feds only aired three shows this season because they didn't have enough people..
I mean, they still go promoted, but meh.
I do have alot of tips for the new guys for regionals, because regionals was the biggest test of patience any new GM will ever experience/suffer.
And speaking of not having enough people, hello BoD.

Recruiting. I had 30 members in one day and 47 by the end of the next. I got 3 contracts pending from guys I know in a past fed... so I will have a full 50 man roster soon.

Meh. Its easy to get a bunch of people. But since your in nationals, just a tip. Make sure you focus on quality not quanity. I dont sign just anyone to my roster.. I dont get it when people do that just to boast of their shows amount of wrestlers.
I get satisfaction from saying that i certainly have a quality roster.

Re: Congrats to Gms of 6/27/2010
I would disagree with you about how easy it is to sign people. I have 41 now and it took some time but I have alot of quality people as well.
Its one thing to have good people and another to do great shows.. Second go around as GM and from what I can tell if there were more GMs it would be pretty tough to recruit quality people as a great deal of the people playing dont want to rp.
So its not really as easy as you are saying Wolf.

Re: Congrats to Gms of 6/27/2010
on s3, seems alot of ppl want to be in a fed, just dont want to rp or dont know how. It may seem odd to not know how to rp but it is pretty common.
I wouldnt say recruiting was hard, but it took some effort. I am hopeful a good amount of the people i signed will turn out to be productive members, some are already heading in that direction. Clearly only time will tell.
But as for players with a decent amount of fans and good rp skills and want to do it seems quite rare. Granted I havent been playing as long as some of the GM's but it was my experience.

Re: Congrats to Gms of 6/27/2010
It's a good test of a GMs skills to be able to promote his roster into RPing and in turn getting them to get the other members to RP etc. I started out playing this game thinking RPing was the geekiest thing ever yet when I got into a roster and realised I had to do it to keep my spot and then thought I might aswell give it a go I found I had a knack for semi decent writing and really started to enjoy it.
I think it was helped by the more fun style RPs we had then when anyone would just attack anyone and come up with fun RPs and the GM staff etc. would take it and turn it into whatever they wanted for their shows. In time it evolved into something more structured but I think it was that initial kind of fun and care free RPing that got everyone into it and that was in a brand new regional fed of the time with a lot of low level/new players who knew nothing much of RPing in TWG.
So based on that I think done right any GM could easily get the bulk of his roster RPing, it just needs to be made fun for people to want to do since after all this is game and games are meant to be fun.

Meh. I could tell you why im right, but im not giving up any of my gm secrets.

Nobody asked you to give up your secrets though so thats no problem. Though there can't be many secrets that we dont already know about.
I dont have problems recruiting either. I already have rp to fill up my first two shows and we are over a week away still. Its like DocSpock said. Make it fun and they will be a part of the roster and contribute.
